CHRIS NUDD MEMORIAL CUP
The one-day triples competition will take place on August 29th - 12:30p for a 1pm start.
Three games of eight ends will be played and the top scoring team will win the trophy for a year.
Teams will be drawn from a hat, and will remain the same throughout the day.
The entry fee is £5 per player and the closing date for entries is Friday, August 28th.
There will be a cold buffet and if anyone can help by providing sandwiches, cakes, sausage rolls etc. please let Alvin Parker know on 07484 294595/alvinhparker@outlook.com. There will also be a raffle, so please bring some prizes if you can.
WILSON PAIRS
The Wilson Pairs Competition is on Saturday 22nd August - 1pm for 1.30pm start. The pairs will be drawn on the day.
NEW POLICY DOCUMENTS AGREED BY CLUB COMMITTEE
At a club committee meeting held on July 6th two new policy documents were approved. The first of them covers grievance procedures and the second covers team selection.
The grievance procedure document adds to the existing club rule 4 which states:
New members shall be approved by the committee. Any member having cause for complaint
should consult the chairman, vice chairman, the hon. sec or hon. treasurer direct. Any such complaints to be treated in confidence. The committee shall have the power to expel from the club any member who, in its opinion shall be guilty of conduct prejudicial to the best interests of the club.

TRAINING SESSIONS ON SATURDAY AFTERNOONS
Don't forget that the club's coach Terry Watson runs sessions on Saturdays (starting around 2pm) aimed at improving people's playing skills, and learning how to work as members of a block, whether it is as lead, middle or skip.
The sessions are primarily aimed at members who have joined in the past year or so, but as the club has a shortage of skips at the moment, we are looking for more experienced members to come along and learn the ropes of being a skip as will as other aspects of the game.

OUR NEXT BBQ
The next BBQ at the club will be on Saturday, 25th July - 1pm for a 1.30pm start. Please let Laurence know if you are coming (07944 560031). We would also really appreciate it if you could bring a prize for the raffle.
BINGO FUNDRAISER FOR THE CLUB
Join us for a Bingo evening at Hickling Barn to raise funds for our bowls club. It's on Friday, June 12th - Doors open at 6.30pm - eyes down at 7pm. You pay £7 for six games and there is free tea and coffee (bring you own refreshments if you wish). There will also be a raffle and if you are attending, any prize donations would be very welcome and much appreciated.

GREEN CLOSURE
Please note that the green will be closed on June 1st as it is being sprayed. It will open again on Tuesday, after 12pm. Sorry for the inconvenience.
BBQ REMINDER
Don't forget that the first BBQ of the season is on Saturday, May 30th - 1.30pm for a 2pm start.

GREEN OPENS ON SATURDAY
Don't forget that the season starts with the opening of the green and the Marjon Trophy match on Saturday (April 25th), 1.30pm for a 2pm start. Please remember to wear club shirts for the event.
AGM REMINDER
Please remember that the club's Annual General Meeting is being held in the Methodist hall at 7pm next Tuesday, October 28th. This is an important meeting for the future of the club so please attend if you can. The agenda for the meeting and minutes of the last AGM and last club committee meeting are attached.

HICKLING'S CUP FINAL WIN
HBC has won the North Walsham Cup final, beating Barton Turf 68-31 on Aylsham's green. Congratulations to everyone who took part in the match.
SEPTEMBER CUP - SINGLES MATCHES
The singles matches in the September Cup on Friday, September 5th will be played on five rinks. We will need five people to act as referees to score the matches. There will be sandwiches and cakes after the match.
The cup will be presented to the winning team on the day of the green closure.
